Thank you for taking the time to check out my website! I am very grateful to do what I love and have a passion for helping you feel the best you can. My goal for you is to take control of your own health and physical fitness. In essence, to eventually become your own trainer! To give you the power to change and maintain a lifetime of health, physical fitness and well being and to help you discover an activity that you enjoy to keep you active.
I am one of the few born and raised in Atlanta, GA and a Master Trainer with over 30 years experience training and coaching clients and instructing fitness classes. Currently, I am training in my fully equipped fitness studio or clients homes, leading fitness classes for Jackson County employees (Yoga and HIIT), and teach a Yoga class in Jefferson. My experience includes training in places such as Bally's, Golds Gym, Bodyplex and Anytime Fitness. I have taught Pilates at Gwinnett Medical Center, and various other studios locally. At my old church, I started a fitness program 20 years ago and I am proud to say is still going on today! FF to several years ago I decided to open my own training studio/coaching business. There is nothing else I would rather be doing with the exception of riding my Harley, camping, laying on the beach or hiking somewhere, anywhere with my best friend hubby!
Many ask me how I got into fitness and training. Briefly, while working full-time and paying my way through college, I was invited by a good friend to take an aerobics class and ended up loving it. To me it was like dancing, which I enjoy. I loved it so much I went on to receive my Group Fitness Certificate but wanting to have a more direct impact on individuals and desiring that one on one relationship, I went on to receive my ACE Personal Training Certificate.
I keep up to date on all the latest and greatest fitness and nutrition trends and workouts so you'll always be challenged and never bored!
I have trained men and women of all ages and fitness levels and am here to tell anyone who will listen, "it's never, ever too late to get moving and be strong!" As we mature, our bodies start declining and it's up to us to slow it down and in some cases stop that process! Of course eventually, life takes its toll but why not be fit, healthy and feel the best you can for as long as you can for yourself and those who love and depend on you, while on this journey called life!
Let's train in the privacy of your home or my fully-equipped home gym where I take your fitness goals seriously and understand that achieving them can be challenging. Think of me as your accountability partner that will help you overcome every challenge you face during the process. We will enhance your strengths and address any areas of weakness. Other things to consider for a successful program are previous injuries or surgeries, body type, BMI, and metabolism, to create an individualized fitness and nutrition plan you can stick to and be successful at!
Sometimes it's not just about fitting into those skinny jeans and sometimes it is! Maybe you want to just feel better. Whatever the motivation for losing weight for good, I can help you. Yo-yo’ing is more harmful to your body than maintaining an unhealthy weight anyway. Together. we will create a fitness/nutrition plan that if you stick to it, you WILL lose body fat and more importantly, gain lean muscle tissue, which will increase your metabolism. I don’t believe in starving or dieting because it's not successful long term. The most successful plans are simple: healthy eating + physical activity = best results! I will work with you to keep you accountable, on track and motivated to reach your goals.
I understand that adapting new fitness habits is difficult and often times fail. My goal is to change any negativity regarding exercise to positive feelings so it becomes a part of who you are and your lifestyle. I strongly believe that if you practice healthy habits and find an activity that you enjoy, you will be able to obtain a healthy lifestyle for a lifetime!
With social distancing a part of our lives right now, online training is a great option and affordable! Skype, Facetime, Facebook Live, Zoom, etc. are all free and we can get started right away.
What to eat?!! With all those diets out there such as Paleo, Keto, and Intermittent fasting for example, it's hard to know what or how to eat. I don't advise skipping meals or quick fix dieting. I don't believe in deprivation or restricting any food group or macro/micro nutrients. I can advise you on what to eat for increased energy,
